Tenerife, Spain – 2019 November UDG Tenerife Goalkeeper Clinic
This visit to the Canary Islands off the northwest coast of Africa was amazing to say the least! I spent 2 weeks in Tenerife, the largest of the islands, to train the three goalkeepers at UDG Tenerife – Aline Reis (Brazil), Pili (Spain), and Nayluisa (Venezuela). At the same time I conducted a goalkeeping coaches development course for the club’s goalkeeper coaches. UDG Tenerife competes in the Women’s First Division Spanish League and also has a team competing in the second division. The opportunity to share my goalkeeping philosophy in Spain was an honor and any chance I get to train my goalkeeper Aline Reis… I’m there! Beautiful images below of this favorite tourist destination include Mount Teide, the fourth highest volcano in the world and the highest point in all of Spain.
FRANCE 2019 Women’s World Cup
It was a fantastic experience traveling for the entire month to follow my goalkeeper Aline Reis at the 2019 World Cup. France is a beautiful country and I saw a lot of it! Being inside every stadium for Brazil’s matches was only the beginning. I was also able to attend a practice session and see a bit behind the scenes around the team at hotels and post-game meals.
